Gypsy & The Cat

Two days ago I promised I'd post something that I'd heard on a bus. Just another ordinary morning half asleep, not at all sure if the songs I'd copied onto my Sony Walkman had even transfered. Finally some music through the headphones, woot! Still half asleep when that all too familiar shiver down your spine kicks in, it's beautiful that music can do that.

So thanks to Triple J un-earthed about 4 weeks ago I downloaded Gypsy & The Cat, I wish I could say I was just scrolling myspace and found them on my own but good old un-earthed does it again, bless.

These two boys are from Melbourne and have been recieving alot of attention thus far. They started out writing together in 2008 after meeting one another as Dj's. They attempted to make some techno but moved onto song writing and say they have an albums worth of songs built up. I cannot wait to hear them!

It's easy to see where these boys draw there influences from but honestly there is something really, really special about there music, some might argue it's slightly under produced but I'm loving there raw sound and just know they have what it takes.
